About Our School

SGRR Public School Karanprayag had a very humble beginning when the school started in a tin shed. It was the earnest effort of Shri Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj to set up an English Medium School in peaceful area far away from hustle bustle of Karanprayag. The school began in a PWD go- down and won the heart of the people of Chamoli. They were happy that an English education could be provided to their wards. Shri Maharaj Ji on seeing people, initiative and interest set up a double storied building at Jaikandi, 1 Km ahead from the earlier school location.

The school building consists of 14 rooms and 14 more rooms are under construction. It has well equipped science and computer labs with a well furnished office. The people of Chamoli were blessed with his Excellency’s gesture and turned up in a large numbers seeking admission for their wards. The staff of the SGRR Public School Karanprayag too worked hard to fulfill the cherished goal of Shri Maharaj Ji..
