SGRR Public School Karanprayag had a very humble beginning when the school started in a tin shed. It was the earnest effort of Shri Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj to set up an English Medium School in peaceful area far away from hustle bustle of Karanprayag. The school began in a PWD go- down and won the heart of the people of Chamoli. They were happy that an English education could be provided to their wards. Shri Maharaj Ji on seeing people, initiative and interest set up a double storied building at Jaikandi, 1 Km ahead from the earlier school location.

MISSION STATEMENT

The School will develop student and student-friendly, fear-free environment to enhance regularity in students’ attendance and participation, leading to improvement in the learning levels at least 60-80% in 3 years and 100% by 2022.

SGRR Education Mission plans to achieve this monumental goal by:

• Delivering a dynamic educational program that encourages each student to achieve his/her highest potential.
• Offering a unique blend of curriculum that will enable easy transition of students from school to tertiary education any where in the world.
• Practicing the ethics of love and compassion towards all and committing ourselves to overall development of the children.
